An Educational Program that Easily Integrates into Your Curriculum

Educate your students about energy efficiency with the Austin Energy All-Stars Program at no cost to you, your district, or your students. As useful as it will be for your students to learn the importance of energy-efficiency, this program also engages the whole family in the student’s education. Classroom Investigative Kit
Each classroom will receive a Classroom Energy Investigation Kit to demonstrate lessons learned during classroom education. Each kit includes tools and investigative measures to facilitate the classroom-based investigation while remaining consistent with the TEKS requirements. The investigative kit will contain the following tools and devices:

wattmeter Watt-Meter: Designed to help students understand how much energy each appliance uses, and which appliances are the most efficient.

Interactive Light Board: Designed to investigate and compare the energy use of different types of light bulbs.

Thermal Infrared Gun: Used for detecting draughts and thermal leaks in buildings and homes. Fixing these sources of heat loss is one of the easiest ways to reduce heating energy consumption.
